Florida Cops Running Scared

ST PETERSBURG – St Pete Officer Andrew Cane has resigned after a video surfaced of him taking a suspect down to the ground while in handcuffs.

Chief Anthony Holloway said he was shocked and would “not tolerate” these types of actions and that the report didn’t match up with the surveillance video.

We can’t completely micromanage the police. They deal with the worst of the worst on a daily basis. Frankly, it is good that criminals keep in the back of there minds that cops can go a little too far. Criminals should be afraid of the police. Police shouldn’t be afraid of criminals. And with this type of micromanaged microscope does a disservice to local communities.

Officer Andrew Cane wasn’t a stand up guy. You have to remove the man past with the current action. Cops need to make real time decisions that potentially save lives.
