COUSTEAU ENDS ‘MISSION 31’ IN FLORIDA KEYS

Fabien Cousteau ascended from the bottom of the ocean on Wednesday after spending 31 days underwater in the Florida Keys. Cousteau and his team of filmmakers and scientists started decompression Tuesday afternoon inside Aquarius Reef Base, 63 feet below the ocean’s surface.

DEPUTIES FATALLY SHOOT MAN

Deputies in Pasco County fatally shot a man they were trying to arrest for selling prescription drugs. No one else was injured in the shooting, which happened outside a tire shop in Zephyrhills.

MOM FACES ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES

A South Florida woman is facing attempted murder charges after a passing motorist noticed strange activity and spotted a baby on the grass on Tuesday. The motorist stopped, called 911 and started CPR on the baby. The child was taken to a hospital. The mother was arrested.

MAN KILLED BY JACKSONVILLE POLICE

Officials say a man who was killed by Jacksonville police was likely trying to commit suicide by cop. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Chief of Detectives Adam Brown said Wednesday that 59-year-old Michael Jones Keys Sr. had called 911 Tuesday threatening to kill himself and others.

JOCKEY DRIVES AWAY WITH DEPUTY HANGING ON TRUCK

A veteran jockey faces multiple charges after driving away from a traffic stop with a sheriff’s deputy hanging on to his pickup truck. A deputy reportedly stopped the truck Sunday night after seeing an expired tag. A computer check found the owner’s driver’s license had been suspended seven times this year.
