FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) _ A retired Florida school teacher has pleaded guilty to traveling to Kentucky to have sex with children.
Dale Chisena entered a plea Monday to one count of interstate travel to engage in sex with a person under 12 years of age.
Attorney General Jack Conway, U.S. Attorney Kerry B. Harvey and FBI Special Agent in Charge Perrye Turner announced the plea.
The 60-year-old Chisena thought he was exchanging electronic messages with the mother of girls who were 9 and 11 years old.
Instead, he was communicating with a cybercrime investigator in Conway’s office.
Authorities said Chisena is a retired second-grade teacher from Orange County, Florida.
He was arrested on February 4, 2011, at Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport.
Sentencing is set for June 14 in Lexington federal court.
