TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Police say a vandal left bacon and smashed lights and windows with a machete at a mosque along Florida’s Space Coast.
Titusville police officers say the attack on The Islamic Society of Central Florida Masjid Al-Munin Mosque took place on New Year’s Day.
Surveillance video shows a man entering the mosque’s carport late at night when no one was there and using the machete to smash cameras, lights and windows.
According to a police report, detectives were unable to immediately identify the man.
Consumption of pork and products made from pork is strictly forbidden in Islam.
