A medical helicopter waiting for a patient injured in a car wreck on U.S. 192 in Kissimmee this morning was rear-ended by a drunken driver.
The driver, 20 year old Cameron Sunderly, apparently drove around a roadblock and slammed into the rear of the chopper where a small vertical rotor spins.
The crash victim ended up being taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.
The stricken chopper was towed away for repairs.
Sunderly faces drunken driving charges.
