Federal Judge Strikes Down Arizona Immigration Law

Basically saying all things “immigration” come under the jurisdiction of the federal government, a federal judge struck down a controversial Arizona law that made smuggling immigrants a state crime.

The decision comes on the heels of another loss in federal court for the state, regarding a law that made it a crime to harbor, conceal, or transport an undocumented immigrant in the U.S. That decision used much the same reasoning.
