The family of Tina Waddell, who was jumped Tuesday evening while walking across a bridge on the Silver Comet Trail, has released photos of her injuries. She was dragged into the woods and severely beaten about the head and face and left to die. That’s when a passerby noticed her.

“It was awful,” said Peter Skott, via FOX 5, who found the woman. “Her head was just disfigured.”

Waddell could only identify her attacker as a white male with dark hair.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the attack.
