Facebook introduced a new feature that lets mobile users locate nearby friends.
The Nearby Friends feature is optional, and will send notifications whenever a friend is near your location, reads a statement sent Thursday from the social network.
Users can tailor Nearby Friends to show information on any collection of friends they choose. Facebook says the option should help users “meet up and spend time together.”
