Escaped Prisoner May Not be In Pasco County

Jason Adams

After an “exhaustive search” and receiving additional information, Pasco Sheriff’s deputies believe that escaped Department of Corrections inmate Jason Adams, 27, is no longer in Pasco County. They say he remains at large and several law enforcement agencies continue the search for him.

Adams escaped in Lutz near State Road 54 and Oak Grove Blvd while on road work crew Monday night after telling a corrections officer that he is going to go to the bathroom in the woods. Pasco County police say he was wearing blue prisoner uniform with white stripes. However those clothes have been found, so Adams could be wearing something else. (story continues below)

A bloodhound from the DOC was on scene last night searching, and the PSO helicopter was overhead.

Pasco deputies say Adams is a white male with blonde or strawberry hair, brown eyes, 5’10”, 164 pounds. They also say he has multiple tattoos on his arms, legs, back and stomach.

If you see Adams, you’re asked to call 9-1-1.
