Easy Time For FL Housing Head Caught Stealing

A judge sentenced former Bradenton Housing Authority head Wenston De Sue to just one year and one day in prison for stealing more than a quarter million dollars from the agency.

De Sue will also have to pay back the $276 thousand he took from taxpayers.

De Sue falsified records to say he was working when he was really taking long lunches, doing errands, at movies, getting massages, and even on Caribbean vacations.

He could have gotten 10 years in prison and a $250 thousand dollar fine on top of restitution.

His wife, who also worked at the agency, will be sentenced soon for similar crimes.
