MEXICO CITY – Seismologists say a magnitude-7.1 earthquake has shaken southernmost Mexico.
Local media say the quake was felt strongly across much of southern Mexico, but there are no immediate reports of injury.
The U.S. Geological Survey says it was centered about 22 miles (35 kilometers) west-southwest of Tapachula on the Pacific coast.
