The ex-girlfriend of Tampa serial killer Dontae Morris ended up in prison a little earlier than she thought.
27 year old Cortnee Brantley was arrested over the weekend for beating up her girlfriend and vandalizing her car during an argument.
Brantley was set to turn herself in Monday to start a one year sentence for failing to tell two Tampa police officers who pulled her over that her passenger was a felon with a gun.
That passenger, Dontae Morris, ended up shooting the two officers to death.
Now, U.S. Marshals will take Brantley to start her sentence in the Morris case a little earlier.
She will likely face charges in the assault on her live-in, 25 year old Leandra Echevarria.
