The people of El Paso, Texas along the Texas/Mexico border, awoke recently to find two billboards painted with threatening messages, each with a mannequin hanging from it. Some feared it was the work of the ruthless drug cartels that operate just over the Rio Grande.

Others speculated that the messages were the product of an ad campaign for a cable television series. In any event, law enforcement took it very seriously and launched an investigation to find out more. ABC News correspondent Jim Ryan spoke with AM 820 News anchor Robert Pankau.
