Delta Flight Returning To Los Angeles After Problem Report

LOS ANGELES — A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757 heading to Minneapolis is returning to Los Angeles International Airport after the crew reported a problem.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says Flight 2116 experienced the problem after departure from LAX Tuesday morning. The nature of the problem is not immediately known.

Gregor says the aircraft is in a holding pattern to burn off fuel.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has rolled out emergency equipment to one of LAX’s four runways.
