Woman Gets Upset with Deputy – Calls 911

DELAND, Fla. (AP) _ When a woman wasn’t happy with the way a central Florida sheriff’s deputy was handling an incident she’d reported, she called 911 to ask for another deputy.

That call helped land 21-year-old Desarea Clark in the Volusia County Jail on Monday. The charge? Misusing the 911 system.

It started when Clark called the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Monday night to report a stolen wallet.

She told Deputy Scott Gering that she’d seen the wallet at her neighbor’s apartment.

Clark became upset when he said he didn’t have sufficient evidence to make an arrest.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/QHusLy ) reports Clark called 911 and told the dispatcher Gering wasn’t doing his job.

An arrest report says the deputy warned her not to call 911 about him because it wasn’t an emergency.
