Grand jurors returned a first-degree murder indictment against a man accused of slashing his wife throat while their daughters slept in their Daytona Beach apartment. Investigators say 44-year-old Johan Chiri killed his wife during an argument on April 7. The murder indictment was returned Monday. According to police, the couple’s 12-year-old daughter found her mother’s body when she woke up to go to school. Investigators found Chiri’s handwritten note in the apartment. It asked for forgiveness and blamed his wife for cheating on him.
