The Largo Police Department responded to the Largo Medical Center Friday morning around 7:10 a.m. in response to a shooting in the parking lot of the hospital.
Largo police say that a man had driven to the hospital and parked in the ambulance drop off area and proceeded to shoot himself. Largo Medical staff tended to the man, who was last known in critical condition.
There were no reports or indications that he caused harm to anyone other than himself in the incident. Police say he was the only one in the car.
