The Columbus Drive Bridge will be closed today and every day for the next three months for repair work.
The 86-year-old bridge is set to replace it’s electrical components and other repairs
About 20,000 commuters who use the bridge daily will have to find a new route in and around west Tampa.
Crews also will expand the pedestrian walkway and replace the lighting.
The total project will cost $8.6 million.
