Clerk Killed in Seminole Food Mart Robbery

Seminole, Florida — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the man who killed a store clerk Wednesday night.

It happened at the JFS Food Mart at 11801 Seminole Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said.

The clerk, 37-year-old Mohammod Tawhidul Islam, was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Islam’s wife tells 10 News he was shot.

On Thursday morning, detectives released surveillance video of the suspect, in hopes that someone might recognize him.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20s, with a thin build, about 5’10” to 6′ tall. He was last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black hoodie, gray sweat pants and black Converse sneakers. Investigators say he left the scene on a bicycle.
