A 99-year-old man died Tuesday after falling into the pool at his home, Clearwater police say.
Eugene Palard of Clearwater was taken to Mease Hospital Dunedin after the 2:36 p.m. incident. He apparently fell from a chair into the pool.
Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
