Clearwater Boy Found Safe In Stolen Car

A Clearwater boy was found safe after the car he was sleeping in was stolen.

It all began before 11 p.m. Monday night when the child’s mother, Elizabeth Rivera, left him in the car to run into an apartment building at 2045 Alpine Road. When she returned to her white Ford Mustang convertible, she found the car stolen.

Clearwater police searched for an hour and found 6-year-old Theron Fields safe with the car. He was taken to another apartment complex located at 1419 E. Leo Lane, where he was asleep in the locked car.

As of early Tuesday morning, police had not made any arrests.
