Teen curfews have long been considered an effective way to reduce youth crime in the cities and towns where they’re in effect. But some Waco, Texas, worry that their curfew is having a negative effect on the very children it’s intended to protect. Enough doubts about Waco’s overnight curfew have been raised that the City Council has taken action.
