Busch Gardens announced some “big news” today, and it involves a major new ride. It’s name is Falcon’s Fury.

As noted by the Tampa Bay Times, theme park bloggers have been speculating for months that an extra-tall drop ride will be coming to the park next year.
Announced this morning, it will be the tallest free standing drop in North America. The slogan for the ride: “What goes up, must come down”.
The wording of the June 11 press conference invitation seemed to hint at just such a thing: “Be among the first to hear the biggest news that’s been dropped in years,” it said.
The ride is set to open Spring of 2014.
The last major ride to open at Busch Gardens was the Cheetah Hunt steel roller coaster in May 2011.
