Brother, Sister Stabbed After Refusing To Provide Ride To Stranger

At approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning deputies responded to 8860 Flame Vine Avenue in Seminole due to reports of two people (brother and sister Kenneth, 50, and Kelly, 49, Poling) stabbed in the driveway of their residence, police said.

During the investigation it was learned both victims were approached in the driveway of their residence and asked for a ride home by two unknown individuals. When they refused to provide the ride, the meeting became confrontation, eventually leading to the stabbing of both brother and sister.

Upon deputies arrival, they assisted medical personnel tend to both victim’s injuries then set a perimeter around the immediate area in an effort to apprehend the individuals responsible for the crime.

The Pinellas County K-9 and Flight Units were brought in to assist as well.

The K-9 Unit tracked suspects Anthony Dejesus, 26, and Blaine Martin, 22, a few blocks from the original scene. Both were taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Battery (Dejesus) and Accessory After the Fact (Martin).

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
