Dunnellon Boy Drowns in Inflatable Pool

DUNNELLON, Fla. (AP) _ Authorities say a 3-year-old boy drowned in an inflatable pool in his family’s back yard.

Marion County Sheriff’s officials say Stephen Ulry and his 7-year-old brother had been playing with their dog in the backyard Thursday afternoon.

The boys’ mother told deputies they had gotten dirty so she went inside to get things ready for their shower.

The Ocala Star-Banner (http://bit.ly/JwiGvi ) reports Deborah Ulry told deputies she was inside for about a minute.

When she came back outside, the older child told her he didn’t know where his brother was.

Ulry then saw the boy floating in the pool, where the boys had played earlier in the day.

According to deputies, she performed CPR until her husband, who is a firefighter, took over. But the boy was not revived.
