St. Petersburg, FL – A 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after he admitted that he sexually battered a 4-year-old girl, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, detectives began investigating when the female victim told them that she had been battered by the suspect. Deputies were speaking with the victim during an unrelated call and contacted detectives once the victim said the suspect had sexually battered her on two separate occasions within the past two weeks while she was in his care. The victim is a 4-year-old female who was known to the suspect.
Through investigation, the suspect was identified. Detectives met with the suspect on Thursday and he admitted to the allegations.
The suspect was charged with one count of Capital Sexual Battery and was transported to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center without further incident.
The investigation continues.
