AM 820 News anchor, Roger P. Schulman, talked with ABC News Correspondent, Ann Compton, about the sanctions against Russia. Following Crimea’s overwhelming weekend vote to rejoin Russia, President Obama on Monday slapped Russia with the harshest sanctions since the Cold War. President Obama once again provided the Russia’s President with an off-ramp, but made clear any further action in Ukraine would raise the diplomatic stakes. The Kremlin has yet to consider President Obama’s requirement in order for the sanctions to be lifted. Meanwhile, Putin’s advisers continued to gloat on Monday that they were pleased with their sudden international fame even though they had no assets in the U.S. to freeze.
