A controversial bill that could limit abortions in Florida is one stop away from a full state House vote.
The bill has passed the House Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee and now goes to the House Health and Human Services Committee.
The measure cuts off state funding to facilities that perform abortions, requires abortion doctors to have privileges at a hospital, and bars donation of aborted babies to medical researchers.
Democrats are opposed to the bill, saying cutting state funding to clinics like Planned Parenthood would keep women from getting needed HIV tests.
