Amos The Wonder Horse Takes On Bullying

Tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m., the media is invited to cover St. Petersburg Police Department’s new bullying prevention initiative featuring a local celebrity, Amos the Wonder Horse!

Amos, a world-renowned, basketball playing miniature horse, and Officer Janie Staples are rolling out their new anti-bullying initiative, “Just Say Whoa to Bullying!”

Officer Staples uses Amos to help engage school aged children in order to retain information. “Just Say Whoa to Bullying” is approved by the Pinellas County School Board and is available within the county at no cost.

Shelly Mizrahi, the owner of Amos, is volunteering her time and resources to assist the police department in this effort.

You are invited to cover two classes tomorrow morning (Thursday, 6/19) beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Police Athletic League located at 1450 16th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704.

There will be a class at 9:30 a.m., then another at 10:00 a.m.

After the classes are finished, Officer Janie Staples, Amos and Shelly Mizrahi will be available for interviews.
