4 Dead, 2 Injured In Crash On US 27 In South Florida

SOUTH BAY, Fla. — Four people are dead following a crash in the early morning fog along U.S. 27 in western Palm Beach County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the trailer detached from a truck driving south Tuesday morning. Several vehicles then hit the trailer.

The names of the victims haven’t been released. One person was taken to a hospital in Delray Beach for treatment. Another suffered minor injuries.

Fire Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto told the Palm Beach Post there was heavy fog in the area at the time of the crash.

An investigation continues.
