30 Injured After Bus, Big Rig Collide In Los Angeles County

HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. — Authorities say at least 30 people suffered minor injuries in a Los Angeles County freeway crash involving a charter bus and two big rigs.

County fire officials say the crash occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on eastbound State Route 60 in Hacienda Heights.

Officials say several ambulances were dispatched and crews treated or transported at least 20 people. At least 10 others are still being evaluated.

The crash scene is scattered over about 100 yards throughout several lanes. The trucks have substantial damage. The bus has some front-end damage but remained upright.

Traffic is backed up for several miles.
