3 Pregnant FL Women Have Zika Virus

The worst case scenario is starting to come true in Florida as it relates to the Zika Virus.

The state health department now says three pregnant women have tested positive for the virus after travelling to Zika hot spots.

Zika is linked to birth defects.

There are now a total of 32 Zika Virus cases in Florida, all travel-related.

Health officials urge pregnant women not to travel to Zika hot spots like Mexico, Central America, South America, or the Caribbean.

They also urge Florida women not to get pregnant immediately after returning from those places.

Experts say a vaccine for the Zika Virus is at least 18 months away.
