(UPDATE) 4 p.m. Authorities identify the three killed in the wreck as 15 year olds Ashaunti Butler and Laniya Miller and 16 year old Dominique Battle.

Three car thieves drown when their stolen car plunges into a pond at a St. Petersburg cemetery this morning.
Police were following the car without lights and siren when the driver of the stolen car veered into Royal Park Cemetery at Gandy Boulevard and I-275 to try and get away.
But they apparently didn’t see the pond and drove into it.
Following officers tried to get the three out of the submerged car, but couldn’t.
