3 Arrested For Trespassing In Riverview

Three suspects have been arrested on trespassing charges.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says they got a call from a neighbor Monday night at 7:45 p.m. claiming that people were trying to enter the home at 10325 Avelar Ridge Drive in Riverview.

According to deputies, the homeowners recently moved to Illinois on military orders and requested the neighbor to change out the locks on their home, which was done.

When deputies responded again Tuesday to follow up on their investigation, they found pry marks on the back sliding glass door and made contact with the suspects inside of the house and arrested them.

All three suspects, 34-year-old Tequila Smith, 30-year-old Latoya Gilbert and 28-year-old Michelle McMillon, have significant arrest histories, according to deputies. They also have histories of unlawfully moving into vacant homes, known as squatting.

Smith was recently trespassed from another home in Riverview.
