According to deputies, two men with Happy Palms Tree Service were trimming trees at 1031 Tallowood Drive at approximately 3:31 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. The two men were on the ground moving a ladder when the ladder hit a power line causing the two men to be shocked.
Lance Russel, 50, was transported to a local hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Steven Hansen, 32, was transported to a local hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
The incident does appear to be accidental and not suspicious in nature.
The investigation continues.
