2 Dead, 1 Critically Injured In Southwest Florida Crash

ESTERO, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says two people are dead and a third is critically injured following a crash in southwest Florida.

According to troopers, a Ford Explorer went off a road in Estero Sunday night and struck two sets of wooden fences before overturning. Two passengers were ejected.

The News-Press of Fort Myers reports the driver and a passenger died at the scene. The surviving passenger was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.

The crash happened near Fort Myers.

Troopers haven’t released their names.
