2 Charged With Animal Cruelty After Leaving Horses

Two people are facing animal cruelty charges Monday morning after leaving 14 horses without food or water.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, 54-year-old Dale Johnke-Davis and Humberto DeJesus, 55, of Dover, left the horses with no food or water for an extended period of time.

Both suspects have been charged with two counts of aggravated animal cruelty and 12 counts of cruelty to animals.
