More than 200 thousand people are expected for Saturday’s 101st Gasparilla Pirate Fest in Tampa.

Festivities begin with the invasion of hundreds of pirates by sea on board the ship “Jose Gasparilla.”

The ship docks at the Tampa Convention Center at 1 p.m.

The parade starts an hour later at Bay to Bay and Bayshore Boulevards.

It proceeds north to Brorein Street downtown, goes east on Brorein, and then north on Ashley Drive where it ends at Cass Street.

Alcohol must be purchased on site and can only be consumed in “wet zones,” or the parade route.

Dozens of roads will be closed in the area of the parade.
