An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 3:50 a.m. on Fletcher Avenue just east of Orange Grove Drive.
Fletcher Avenue between Orange Grove Drive and Lake Magdalene Boulevard was temporarily closed during the investigation. All lanes were reopened by 7:45 a.m.
Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 3:54 a.m. and found an adult man dead in the roadway when they arrived.
The driver was not injured.
No other information was immediately available.
