Rick Santorum covered a great deal of ground with Erik Kuseliason today’s show
Today on Erik Kuselias Show, on WWBA 820 AM, E. K. had a chance to speak with one of the most important Conservative voices in American politics former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
Kuselias and Santorum talked about the Republican health care bill and the former senator was not impressed. He felt that it was not a true Conservative bill and that with the House, the Senate and with Donald Trump in the White House, they could do much better.
He felt that working closer with the states as they did on Medicare that would be a much wiser plan of attack. Santorum, clearly feels that the government should not be in the health care business.
Santorum told Kuselias that there were a number of things that he liked about President Trump. The top of the list was his choice of Neil Gorsuch for Supreme Court Justice, a pick that he thought was an outstanding choice.
When asked by Kuselias what he didn’t like about President Trump, Santorum laughed and said “stop the late night or early morning tweeting.”
While not running for president Santorum has established Patriot Voices. He founded the organization with his wife Karen Santorum. The goal is to give a voice to hard working Americans. The groups mission is clear: we must fight to protect faith, freedom, family and opportunity to grow.
He ran for the Republican nomination in the 2012 for president. Upon announcing his campaign suspension on April 10, 2012, he had won 11 primaries and caucuses and received nearly 4 million votes, making him the runner-up to eventual nominee Mitt Romney. Santorum officially endorsed Romney on May 7, 2012.
He also, announced his candidacy for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. He ended his campaign on February 3, 2016. On May 25, 2016, he endorsed Donald Trump for the Republican nomination and still supports Trump now that he is president.
