Pokemon Go Has Released New Pokemon

On Monday The Verge reported that Pokemon Go players will have more to catch. Developer Niantic announced that a new pocket of monsters are now available in the app. Some of these include, Pichu, Togepi, and other pokemon pulled from second generation Pokemon Gold and Silver.

Even more exciting for players is that in addition to the new monsters, from now until December 29th Pokemon Go will have a “special edition” version of Pikachu. He will be wearing a festive holiday hat.


There is no confirmed number of creatures that were revealed, but Niantic did say that players will only be able to capture them by acquiring and hatching eggs from pokestops.

Niantic has recently announced a series of other announcements that are intended to lure in more players and bring player back to Pokemon Go, including turning Sprint store into gyms and pokestops and a new pokemon-themed Starbucks drink.

Pokemon Go To Be Released In India Today

While the U.S. has been enjoying Pokemon Go since July, those in India are about to feel the same joy. The mobile game is set to launch in India today.

Reliance Jio has partnered with the makers of Pokemon Go making their digital stores appear as ‘Pokestops’ or ‘Gyms’ in the game.

Niantic previously partnered with McDonald’s in Japan for sponsored pokestops.
