Michael Cohen Flipped On Trump Because Of The Holocaust: Report

Cohen turns on Trump

Cohen listened to his father on the issue of the Holocaust

President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal counts Tuesday, partly because of a conversation Cohen had with his father, a Holocaust survivor.

Cohen’s Polish father, Maurice Cohen, allegedly said earlier this year that he did not live through the Holocaust to have his family name “sullied” by the president, reported The Hill.

The lawyer is pleading guilty to charges including campaign finance violations connected to Cohen’s alleged 2016 payments to two women, Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, who said they had affairs with Trump. Cohen said he acted at Trump’s direction. Other charges against Cohen include bank fraud and tax evasion.

“If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!” Trump wrote on Twitter Wednesday, a day after Cohen pleaded guilty.

Since Cohen’s guilty plea, his lawyer, Lanny Davis, has set up a GoFundMe called the “Michael Cohen Truth Fund.” The page had reached more than $140,000 of its $500,000 goal as of Thursday afternoon.

Trump made the break with Cohen public on June 15 when the president said he had not spoken with Cohen “in a long time,” reported The Hill.

Cohen’s home and office had been raided by the FBI in April.
