Dan Maduri: “Should We Arm Teachers?”

On today’s edition of Florida Live, host Dan Maduri discusses the Florida state Senate group calling for teachers to join the “guardian program.”  Do you think we should arm teachers?

Dan talks breaking news that the Oscar’s not having an official host.  This comes after Kevin Hart stepped down for not apologizing once some of his older homophobic tweets resurfaced.

Former Florida State University Quarterback Deondre Francois was released from the team following a video of him allegedly hitting his girlfriend during an argument.  It is now being reported that he did not strike her but the damage is done.  This is the fourth time that his girlfriend Diamond Lindsey has pulled a stunt such as this.  “This is his own fault.”  The reporters needed to have the facts before jumping to conclusions, which in this instance seemingly costed Francois his spot on the team.

What topics will President Trump discuss at tonight’s State of the Union address?  Will he highlight unity?  A CBS News poll of 65% of people who will watch the SOTU want to see him speak about unity among Americans.

All this and more on today’s edition of Florida Live.
