On today’s edition of Florida Live, host Dan Maduri talks Jeff Bezos, Amazon HQ2, the one-year anniversary of Parkland and more this Valentine’s Day.
One year ago the Parkland massacre happened. Dan re-visits some of the issues still surrounding guns and school safety that has plagued Florida schools and national schools for that matter. Actor Jussie Smollett took to Good Morning America to discuss the alleged attack on him a few weeks ago in Chicago. With no statements being corroborated, one must start to think that he filed a false police report with the Chicago PD. If so, will he be prosecuted or walk away unscathed? If the “MAGA” attack is proved to be false, does this set the precedent to not believe “victims” in the post era of the MeToo movement? One would think the Chicago PD would have some visual corroboration of the alleged attack from the hundreds of hours of CCTV they combed through?
Vaping sensation Juul blamed for the rise of youth smokers by the CDC. According to the CDC, one in five high school-aged kids vape. Do you think Juul is to blame for this? Is part of the problem, that it is portrayed to be hip and cool?
All this and more on today’s edition of Florida Live.
