A Walk To Remember Gets A Reunion

A Walk To Remember Reunion Is In The Works

It’s been 15 years since A Walk to Remember was released and Kleenex’s were wiped off the shelves in an effort to wipe away the tears of this favorite tearjerker.

Mandy Moore and Shane West are definitely not hurting for work, but word of A Walk to Remember reunion was released by Moore in an “Ask Me Anything” conversation on Twitter.

Moore has recently gone on to star in one of the most widely watched television shows of the moment, This Is Us, and her co-star West has held a successful career with a variety of TV roles in shows like Salem and ER.

In the “Ask Me Anything” conversation, Moore revealed that she, West and the rest of the heart tugging cast have been working on getting a reunion together.

“We’re working on it!” the actor tweeted in response to a fan who asked about a potential future reunion, noting how “awesome” it would be.

It doesn’t come as a shock that both Moore and West are down for a reunion as they both often talk about the impact A Walk to Remember had on their lives and careers.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moore revealed how much the film influenced her at the young age of 16.

“I think that it was such an overwhelmingly positive, memorable experience for me because it was my first leading role and it was the first film I worked on away from home,” Moore said in the interview.

“There are very few times in your career when the memories and the relationship you have to a project match the relationship that an audience has to the project — but this movie is as special to me as it seems to be to people out there in the world.”

“It genuinely was a phenomenal experience. From start to finish, it really was a wonderful experience and that was because of Adam Shankman, the director,” West said in the same interview with Entertainment Weekly. “He kept everyone invested, together, kept the mood right, especially for some of the dramatic things we had to do, and everyone genuinely loved each other — or liked each other at least.”

Of course it wasn’t just the film itself that made it so special, but the chemistry between Moore and West made the movie 10 times better.

“Shane was so cool. Everything about him – the way he dressed, the little cigarettes that he smoked, and the music he listened to. He was the character to me and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him,” said Moore.

“It was kind of perfect the way we came into the project because she was coming from this pop background at that time — she had her song “Candy”, and a role in the Princess Diaries —  and for me I was into punk rock and so it was like completely opposites attract, or opposites are forced together to work,” said West.

So stay tuned Nicholas Sparks fans, a reunion is in the works and more information could be available soon enough.
