Tonight The Debut of “Scientology TV” Streaming Nationally

It is a big night for the Clearwater-based Church of Scientology as they will make a big move by launching their very own network debuting tonight 8 p.m. Welcome to a network called Scientology TV, with a tagline that is trending on social media saying simply “ It’s time for us to tell our story.”

They also have a very active Twitter feed that has some very cool promotions.

The church has invested an estimated $75 million in a big Los Angeles studio and less money in a Clearwater-based facility at the church’s home campus. Both are rumored to house state of the art broadcasting equipment with full production crews.

The network has a super slick one-minute promo and there is a countdown clock on their website. They will be using a very impressive multi-platform distribution plan which is well thought out and very tech savvy.

So, tonight it can be seen on DIRECTV channel 320, as well as streamed via AppleTV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, Chromecast, iTunes and Google Play. As far as cable companies are concerned it is not yet clear if they will be on locally on Spectrum at least for tonight’s debut.

The biggest secret is what you are likely to see tonight on the new network?

A few of the programs that have been speculated as being set for distribution are Meet A Scientologist, Voices for Humanity, and L. Ron Hubbard: In His Own Voice. Those are shows that have been produced in the past by the church.

Rumors that The Church of Scientology, headed by David Miscavige, has long been hoping to have their own television network and movie production arm have been around for quite a while. With proven box office winners like Tom Cruise and John Travolta as two of the church’s most famous followers, rumored to be helping launch a new media company that is not a bad way to launch a network.

The church said its network would be “the next emphatic advance in our global dissemination crusade and the future of Scientology dissemination planet-wide: A Scientology television station [and a] Scientology radio station.”

So welcome to the television world to Scientology TV.
