I came across these guys today and couldn’t help but to be captivated by their words and music! After scouring the internet to learn more about The Unlikely Candidates (there isn’t much…yet!), I discovered that while they’ve been playing together since ’08, it wasn’t until recently, at South by Southwest, that they really made a name for themselves!
They remind me of Mumford & Sons, which is crazy because the quintet, comprised of lead singer Kyle Morris, rhythm guitarist Cole Ale, drummer Kevin Goddard, bassist Brent Carney, and lead guitarist Josiah Maughan, are an indie-rock band hailing from Fort Worth, Texas!! And if it’s true what they say, that everything is bigger in Texas, then TUC will be no exception! These guys are going places!
