BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) — Bestselling horror author Stephen King will interview thriller writer John Grisham during a fundraiser in January for the Manatee County Library.
This isn’t the first year that King — who winters on Casey Key in nearby Sarasota County– has helped out Manatee’s library before. In January of 2015, all 372 tickets to his talk were snapped up by sponsors three weeks after his date was announced. The event raised $100,000.
Library officials hope to raise $150,000 from the upcoming event with the two authors, to help fund literacy projects through the Manatee County Public Library.
As library fundraisers go, this is…ummmm…thrilling. {snicker!}
