Friday Update:
Michael Lohan may be discharged from a Tampa hospital today and returned to the Hillsborough County jail.
TPD is now saying Michael Lohan may have a broken foot. They will now have Lohan evaluated at Tampa General Hospital. Once he is cleared there, he will be transported back to the Orient Road Jail for processing.
Tampa Police Department responded to a harassing phone call complaint overnight. Upon arrival, officers met with Kate Major, the girlfriend of Michael Lohan. Ms. Major stated that Michael Lohan had violated the terms of his release this afternoon by calling her.
While officers were on-scene, Michael Lohan called again when Ms. Major placed the call on “speaker phone” so they could listen.
The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office was contacted and reference the judges pre-trial release order, at which time they authorized Michael Lohan’s arrest.
Officers responded to the Tahitian Inn located at 601 South Dale Mabry Hwy, where Michael Lohan was reported to be staying.
Upon seeing officers, he jumped out of a 3rd story balcony in an attempt to escape arrest. After a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Lohan did not suffer any injuries during the offense and was check out by paramedics. Michael Lohan will be transported to the Hillsborough County Jail on Orient Road.
