J.K. Rowling To Release Short Story on ‘Pottermore’

New Story for ‘Pottermore’ to be Released

More exciting news for Harry Potter fans this month, J.K. Rowling recently announced she will be releasing a short story on Pottermore, which is a Harry Potter website created for the fans to use. The short story will be regarding to what many Potter fans would say as one of the most hated villains of the series, Dolores Umbridge.

According to the Rolling Stone, the story is scheduled to be release on October 31st and it will tell the back story of Umbridge’s character. Her character first appeared in the 5th installment of the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

This is not the first story Rowling has released on the popular Pottermore website. Back in July, she wrote a short story about Harry Potter reuniting with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger for the Quidditch World Cup final. The popularity of the story ultimately ended up crashing Pottermore for just a few short hours.

This news follows up after the exciting announcements for the movie trilogy spinoff series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.  As well as J.K. Rowling’s plans to replicate Hagrid’s Hut on her Scottish property.

Are you looking forward to the release of Dolores Umbridge’s backstory for this Halloween?
